Juan Pablo Hourcade

Juan Pablo Hourcade is an Associate Professor at the University of Iowa’s Department of Computer Science and a member of the Delta Center. His main area of research is Human-Computer Interaction, with a focus on the design, implementation and evaluation of technologies that support creativity, collaboration and information access for a variety of users, including children and older adults.

Teresa Mangum

A Professor in Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies, Mangum was appointed as Director of the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies in 2010. She co-chairs the UI Public Humanities in a Digital World faculty cluster with Jon Winet, professor in the School of Art and Art History and director of the Digital Studio for the Public Arts and Humanities. She is also on the advisory board of the Mellon-funded Humanities Without Walls consortium; part of an international research team focused on “Ageing, Communication, Technologies (ACT): Experiencing a Digital World in Later Life” and funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, and a member of the National Humanities Alliance, a national public policy organization that advocates for the humanities.
