Celine Latulipe

 

Celine Latulipe is an Associate Professor in the Department of Software and Information Systems at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Her research involves developing and evaluating novel interaction techniques, creativity support tools and technologies to support the arts. Her recent research includes work at the intersection of dance and interactive technology, evaluating how well tools support creativity, and enabling interactions with artwork in galleries.


Ron Wakkary

Ron Wakkary is a Professor in the School of Interactive Arts & Technology at Simon Fraser University (SFU), in British Columbia, Canada and a Chair in Interaction Design and Everyday Life in the Faculty of Industrial Design at the Technical University of Eindhoven (TU/e), in the Netherlands. He is also Co-Editor-in-Chief of interactions magazine, and Director of the Interaction Design Research Centre at SFU. He conducts research on sustainable interaction design. This includes design strategies to enable customization and appropriation of computational resources and artifacts by everyday designers.


Lisa Anthony

Lisa Anthony is an Assistant Professor in the Computer & Information Science & Engineering department at the University of Florida. She conducts research on gesture-based user interfaces. Recent projects include work on gesture recognizers, gesture interactions for children, user-defined gestures, and body-interaction games for exercise.


Tamara Clegg

Tamara Clegg is an Assistant Professor in the College of Education and the iSchool at the University of Maryland. Her research is about understanding how we can help people come to see themselves in new ways by helping them form new relationships with information. Her main focus has been on designing technology-supported, life-relevant, science learning experiences for children. These experiences have included kitchen science activities that engage children in scientific practices around food preparation.


Lisa Nathan

Lisa Nathan is Assistant Professor within the iSchool at the University of British Columbia. Her research is in the area of values and design, multi-lifespan information systems, and sustainability. Recent work includes:  a design inquiry into interactive systems and transformative learning; the design of an online video archive to provide access to interviews with personnel from the UN’s International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda; and 3) an inquiry into the design of information systems to steward material related to Canada’s ongoing Truth and Reconciliation Commission.


Mary Beth Rosson

Mary Beth Rosson is Professor and Interim Dean of the College of Information Sciences and Technology at Penn State. She is also Co-Director of the Computer-Supported Collaboration and Learning Lab, and a founding member of the Center for Human-Computer Interaction. She has conducted foundational research on computer-supported collaboration, including early research on online social networks and learning communities. Her recent projects include developing an an action research project to change how women understand and approach IT education careers, mobile information systems for local community engagement, tools to support decision-making by teams, and tools to support end-user web development.
