DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nHASTAC 2016: IMPACT\, VARIATION\, INNOVATION\, ACTION\nhastac2016.org\nNexus Lab\nArizona State University\nTempe\, AZ\nMay 11-15\, 2016\n#HASTAC16\nIf the digital humanities are one successful configuration of humanistic and technological research domains\, what other configurations are available\, resurgent\, or necessary? HASTAC 2016 will investigate collectively the potential for new work\, and also encourages participants to engage ways that collaborative teams might use channels beyond academic publication to impact local communities\, national conversations\, or worldwide systems.\nCall for Papers extended to November 15\, 2015\nHASTAC's 2016 conference seeks proposals for papers and presentations that emphasize work in digital\, environmental\, and medical domains\, as well as pathbreaking work that expands the possibilities for new interdisciplinary configurations. Through this agenda\, HASTAC 2016 will present research that impacts and intersects with the concerns of local communities\, national conversations\, or worldwide systems.\n\nThe program committee is currently accepting proposals for the following formats: Long papers (10 minutes)\, Short papers (5 minutes)\, Hands-on or interactive sessions(1 hour)\, Birds of a feather sessions (1 hour)\, and Custom Sessions.\n\nAll proposals are due November 15\, 2015. Please submit abstracts of no more than 300 words to EasyChair.\n\nLearn more and submit your proposal now!\n\n\n\n
