Funding for Travel

We have completed our funding of these projects in the Digital Bridges grant. This page is still available for informational purposes, but we are no longer seeking applications for these partnerships.

As part of the Digital Bridges mission to develop faculty capacity in digital methods, we offer support for faculty travel in three ways:

  1. Faculty who have attended one of our summer institutes or training workshops may attend more specialized training institutes or workshops elsewhere to continue building their skills.
  2. Faculty who wish to present work that they have completed with the assistance of Digital Bridges may do so at conferences or other venues that enable the dissemination of that work.
  3. Faculty who have already undertaken digital projects in the humanities or humanistic social sciences may contact the Digital Bridges team to see whether travel for training or skill-building may be appropriate for Digital Bridges support as well. If approved, faculty may be asked to share what they’ve learned with the Iowa or Grinnell community.

Faculty who wish to travel with students, staff, or other collaborators, please contact Matthew Hannah at matthew-hannah@uiowa.edu for Iowa or Jen Shook at shookjen@grinnell.edu.
